Henan Private-owned Steel Enterprises Contribute a lot to Local Steel Industry
Henan Provincial Iron & Steel Industry Association (HISA) disclosed that the total output of crude steel was posted at 23.289mln tons last year, edging up by 6.45% y-o-y; 19.447mln tons of pig iron, a y-o-y growth of 13.32%; 28.82mln tons of steel products, up 12.12%, with the primary business incomes and profits hitting at 162.5bln yuan and 8.15bln yuan, down by 11.9% and 5.9% from one year ago respectively, reported by www.china.com.cn.
According to the surveyed statistics, the private-owned steel enterprises eyed y-o-y production growths. Henan Jiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co. Ltd achieved best performances among the surveyed enterprises, obtaining 0.418bln yuan in 2009, a y-o-y increase of 16.87%.
